Refund Policy

Module D.U.C.K. · Effective and last updated: 29 September 2026

This Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back for something bought through Module D.U.C.K. (the "Service"), who you have to ask, and how long it takes. It is published by Nariman Mammadov (Məmmədov Nəriman Bəxtiyar oğlu), a sole trader registered with the State Tax Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, taxpayer number (VÖEN) 1310036412 ("Module D.U.C.K.", "we", "us", "our") and forms part of our Terms of Use. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Right now there is nothing to refund. Module D.U.C.K. is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no paid tiers, and no tickets on sale. We are publishing this policy ahead of time so the rules exist before we ever ask you for money, not because we are charging you today.

The short version

This summary is here to help you find the right section. It is not a replacement for the policy. The full text below is what applies.

Do you charge anything today? No. The app is free to download and free to use. If that ever changes we will update this policy and tell you in the app before any charge.
If I buy through Apple, who refunds me?Apple. Apple bills you and Apple decides those refunds; we cannot issue them. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. We will help you put the request together.
How do I cancel a subscription? In your Apple ID settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the period you have already paid for.
Event tickets?Sold under the event organiser's own terms. Event cancelled → refund. Rescheduled or materially changed → you can normally choose a refund. Simply changed your mind → usually non-refundable, because tickets to a dated event are exempt from the EU/UK 14-day cooling-off right.
What if we are the seller?Email ocag.bynm@gmail.com with the details listed in Section 6. We aim to acknowledge within 5 business days and decide within 14 days.
Does this cut down my legal rights? No. Your statutory consumer rights apply on top of this policy, and where the law is more generous than this document, the law wins. See Section 7.

1. Where things stand today

As of the date at the top of this page, Module D.U.C.K. is free. To be specific:

So there is nothing you could have paid us for, and nothing for us to refund. This document exists because we intend to offer paid features (most likely event tickets), and we would rather write the terms down now, where you can read them and a lawyer can check them, than improvise them later under pressure.

If we introduce a charge, we will update this policy, publish the new version at this address, and make the price, the billing period, and the refund route clear before you commit to paying. You will never be charged for something you did not actively choose.

2. What this policy covers, and who took your money

Once paid features exist, how you get a refund depends almost entirely on who took your money. There are two routes and they work very differently:

How you paidWho the seller isWho handles refunds
Apple In-App Purchase or App Store subscription, inside the app Apple, as our agent Apple. See Section 3.
A payment we take directly: for example an event ticket bought through our own checkout Nariman Mammadov (Məmmədov Nəriman Bəxtiyar oğlu), a sole trader registered with the State Tax Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, taxpayer number (VÖEN) 1310036412, or the event organiser Us, or the organiser. See Section 5 and Section 6.

If you are not sure which applies to you, look at your receipt: an Apple purchase produces a receipt from Apple, not from us. Or just ask us at ocag.bynm@gmail.com and we will tell you which route to use.

This policy does not cover money you spend with anyone else: a bar, a venue's own door charge, a taxi, or a third-party ticket site we merely linked to. Those are between you and them.

3. Purchases billed by Apple

Anything bought as an Apple In-App Purchase or an App Store subscription is billed by Apple, not by us. Apple takes the payment, Apple holds the money, and Apple applies its own refund rules.

We cannot issue refunds for Apple purchases. This is not us being unhelpful. We have no technical or contractual ability to return money that Apple collected. Only Apple can do that.

3.1 How to ask Apple

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
  2. Choose Request a refund, pick a reason, and select the purchase.
  3. Submit it. Apple reviews the request and decides. Apple usually responds within a day or two, and an approved refund goes back to your original payment method.

You can also start the request on your iPhone at Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, or through Apple Support.

3.2 What we will do

We cannot move the money, but we are not going to leave you to it:

What we cannot do is overrule Apple. If Apple refuses, your remaining routes are Apple's own appeal process and, if you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, your statutory rights. See Section 7.

4. Subscriptions and cancellation

We do not offer a subscription today. If we ever do, it will be an Apple App Store subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it.

4.1 How to cancel

You cancel in your Apple ID settings, not in our app: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Module D.U.C.K. → Cancel Subscription.

4.2 What cancelling does, and what it does not do

Cancelling stops future renewals. It is not a refund. You keep access for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and then it stops. You do not get money back for the remainder of the current period, and we do not pro-rate a part-used period.

4.3 Timing, and things people get caught by

4.4 Unused time, outages, and price changes

We do not refund unused time as a matter of course. We will look at it seriously where a paid feature was unavailable for a meaningful stretch, where we removed something you were paying for, or where a mistake on our side caused a duplicate charge. If we increase a subscription price, Apple will ask you to agree before the new price applies; if you do not agree, the subscription simply ends at the next renewal.

5. Event tickets

We plan to sell tickets to events (parties, socials, bar crawls and similar) through the app. Tickets are not software, and they do not behave like software, so please read this section properly.

5.1 Tickets are sold under the organiser's terms

Each event is run by an event organiser: a promoter, a venue, or a student society, sometimes us, often not. Every ticket is sold subject to that organiser's own terms and conditions and to the venue's entry rules, which will be shown or linked at the point of purchase. Those terms commonly cover age and ID checks at the door, dress codes, capacity limits, re-entry, and the organiser's own refund position.

Where the organiser's terms and this policy disagree about something that is genuinely theirs to decide, the organiser's terms govern that point, but neither their terms nor ours can take away a right the law gives you.

Where we only list an event and process the payment on an organiser's behalf, we are not the provider of the event. We are not responsible for the event's content, quality, safety, line-up, running order, or whether it lives up to how it was promoted. Venue and event details shown in the app may also come from public map data, which can be wrong or out of date; see our Terms of Use.

5.2 If an event is cancelled

5.3 If an event is rescheduled or materially changed

A material change is one that goes to the heart of what you bought: a new date, a different city or venue, the headline act or host dropping out, or an event cut substantially short.

5.4 Changing your mind: the 14-day cooling-off right

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, you normally get 14 days to change your mind about something you bought online. Tickets to a dated event are one of the recognised exceptions to that rule.

Tickets to a dated event are generally non-refundable if you just change your mind. Contracts for leisure services tied to a specific date or period (concerts, parties, and other scheduled events) are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 16(l) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and, in the UK, regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. So once you buy a ticket for a specific date, you cannot cancel it for a refund simply because you no longer want to go.

That exemption is only about you changing your mind. It does not touch anything in Sections 5.2 or 5.3: if the organiser cancels, reschedules, or materially changes the event, or if the event is not as it was described, you keep your rights and your remedies in full.

5.5 Transfers, resale, access and refused entry

6. How to request a refund from us

Use this route only where we took the payment. For anything Apple billed, go to Apple: see Section 3.

6.1 Where to send it

Email ocag.bynm@gmail.com with the subject line Refund request. You can also write to us at General Akim Abbasov St. 16, apt. 58, Yasamal District, Baku AZ1141, Azerbaijan. Email is fastest.

6.2 What to include

Please do not send us card numbers. We do not need them, we will never ask for them by email, and if anyone claiming to be us does ask, it is not us.

6.3 What happens next

StepOur target
We acknowledge your requestWithin 5 business days
We decide, and tell you the reason either wayWithin 14 days of having everything we need
We send an approved refund to your original payment methodWithin 14 days of approval
Your bank or card issuer shows the moneyUsually another 3–10 business days, which is outside our control

Refunds go back the way the money came in. We do not refund to a different card, to a different person, or in cash. If we decline your request we will say why in writing and point you to the next step, including the escalation routes in Section 7.

If the mistake was ours (a duplicate charge, a charge for something you never received, a price that did not match what was shown), tell us and we will put it right. You should not have to argue for that one.

7. Your statutory rights are unaffected

Nothing in this policy limits, replaces, or waives the rights the law gives you as a consumer. Those rights sit on top of everything written here, and where this policy is less generous than the law, the law wins.

If you think we have got a decision wrong, come back to us first at ocag.bynm@gmail.com. Most disputes turn out to be a misunderstanding and cost nothing to fix. Our Terms of Use set out the wider dispute-resolution process.

8. Chargebacks and abuse

Please talk to us before you talk to your bank. A chargeback takes weeks, freezes the money while it is investigated, and actually stops us from simply refunding you. We can nearly always sort out a genuine problem faster ourselves.

If you do raise a chargeback:

Abuse. This policy assumes good faith, and nearly everybody acts in good faith. We may decline requests, and suspend or close accounts, where there is a clear pattern of abuse: repeatedly buying tickets, attending, and then claiming refunds; false claims that a ticket or feature was never delivered; asking for a refund on a ticket that has already been used or transferred; using stolen or unauthorised payment details; or refund requests accompanied by threats or abuse toward our team, an organiser, or venue staff. Where we suspect fraud we may report it. We will act only where the evidence supports it, and closing an account never removes a right the law gives you.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy, and we certainly will before any paid feature launches. When we make material changes we will update the "last updated" date at the top and, where it matters to you, give notice in the app. The version in force when you made a purchase is the version that applies to that purchase. We do not apply changes retroactively to something you have already bought.
